HUGH DAVIES

Hugh Davies grew up in both Nigeria and England and received his education in Somerset before studying fine art at Brighton College of Art and Chelsea College of Art in London, where he earned his Master’s in Fine Art. He has taught at several esteemed institutions, including Chelsea College of Art, Oxford University, the University of the Arts London, and Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida.

With his work featured in over 60 international gallery and museum exhibitions, Davies explores the paradoxical nature of painting, employing invented forms and ambiguous spaces to convey themes of time, history, and uncertainty.
