Ty Christian

Ty Christian is a fine artist born in Fort Wayne, IN on June 1, 1988. At a young age. His parents noticed that the creative arts were something that he had a natural gift for. Every chance he got, Ty would express himself through one of his creative outlets. After high school he got a full ride scholarship to play basketball in Michigan. After one year, his dream to fully immerse himself in his creative passion prevailed. He dropped out of college and moved to Nashville, TN to pursue being a fine artist. For the next 10 years, he made ends meet as a restaurant server while exploring an artistic journey, playing with different mediums to find a style that best fit his voice as an artist.

A lover at heart, he strived to create work that could strengthen relationships in communities. Work that you could feel when you observe it. Work with a purpose. After 10 years, he began creating his most prized work “The Art of Harmony.” This series put him on the map as an artist in Nashville. For the next 5 years, he made a living on his large format wall murals throughout the city and fine artwork gallery events. During this time, Ty and his fiancé Michaela began building a family. Just when Ty thought he could love nothing more than being a creative, being a father to his two children was his golden ticket. Over time, after many family trips and vacations, his family all related in a deep found connection to the ocean. After months of searching for a city that best fit their family's needs, in the summer of 2022 they moved to Sarasota, FL. Building his art career back up from scratch in a new city has been far from easy. But with time, he knows It will all work out. He is excited to be a part of the Sarasota Art Community.
