jeffery a cornwell

Jeffery Cornwell was born in Maryland and raised in numerous places in the southern states. He moved to Sarasota to studied at Ringling College of Art. He then Apprentice with Toro Yamamoto and honed his skill as an artist. Jeffery mainly draws his inspiration from the natural environment, more specific the relation of sky and land. From that exploration come other works focused on and improvisation and play. His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in galleries and alternative spaces. His work has been represented by galleries in Florida, Georgia, Texas, and on the west coast of the United States. His work is in private collections throughout the United States and Europe. As an educator, Jeffery is an Adjunct Art Instructor for VPA program at Booker High School and spent 33 years as an Instructor in the Summer Teen Studios at Ringling College for which he was the coordinator of the College’s Program.
