ender wilde
Ender, an oil painter, is focused on a large-scale figurative American landscape which is documentary and reflective, as it explores socio-political issues of our 21st century. Ender's neo-surreal paintings have been exhibited at the Sarasota Museum of Art, The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Art Center Sarasota, among others. She is an Artist Member of SARTQ and SPAACES and engages regionally throughout Florida by creating public murals, working with non-profits and teaching.
Within large-scale oil paintings I unravel our histories, social issues, natural landscapes, and my own experiences in order to provoke dialogues surrounding cross-cultural tensions and individual perspectives. My paintings mix traditional portraiture and landscape compositions with new-age color palettes inspired by the technological revolution. This work is meant to inspire conversations about contemporary mythos, digital personas, intrapersonal relationships and socio-political landscapes by revisiting fables and symbolism traditionally used to describe heroism, infamy, freedom and success.
